Earlier this month, littleBits introduced the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit in collaboration with Disney’s Marvel Entertainment. The launch followed the success of our Droid Inventor Kit, developed with Disney’s Lucasfilm in 2017.

Today we’re excited to announce that the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is officially available today. As such, we wanted to take a moment to share what people have been saying about it — enjoy!

littleBits and Marvel Entertainment are a match made in Super Hero heaven!

“These days, getting kids interested in STEM and programming has become easier and easier thanks to companies like littleBits and Kano, who partner with some of the most beloved and recognizable franchises out there to make it as accessible as possible.” (Blair Atland, 9to5 Toys)

“Why it matters: This is a part of a growing trend in STEM products — drawing on well-known brands to promote science, technology, engineering and math.” (Ina Fried, Axios)

“The Avengers are about as hot as movie properties get, and LittleBits some of the best STEM toys on the market.” (Brian Heater, TechCrunch)

The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is a creative way to get more kids interested in STEM.

“If you’re looking for a fun way to introduce your kids to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is the way to go.” (Sean Fallon, ComicBook.com)

“But for $150, available starting August 24, the littleBits kits are some of the most accessible ways to introduce your kids to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) concepts, without making them feel like they’re stuck in school.” (Andrew Lizsewski, Gizmodo)

Kids will have a blast building and customizing their high-tech hero gear and unique identity.

“If you’ve ever wanted to train to be a Marvel inventor like Tony Stark and Shuri, the new kit from Littlebits could be your gateway to becoming the next superhero of science.” (Bonnie Burton, CNET)

“There are also plenty of slots where creative parents and kids can insert cardboard and soda bottle props.” (Nick Summers, Engadget)

The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit does a great job interesting both boys — and girls — in STEAM.

“The connected app offers step by step video instructions, led by various familiar Avengers members (with a 50/50 gender split to make the experience more inclusive), including The Hulk, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp. Kids are encouraged to customize the gauntlets from there, and once done, they can proudly display it on the included Iron Man stand.” (Brian Heater, TechCrunch)

“The new Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is another way LittleBits is looking to improve the gender balance in tech subjects. According to its website, around 40% of its kid inventors are girls, ‘a number that’s unheard of in technology’.” (Olivia Tambini, TechRadar)
