Want to learn about the phases of the moon? With a dc motor and light sensor, this project helps demonstrate the shadows cast on the moon as it orbits the earth. At any point in the orbit, when you look at the moon from the point of view of the earth, you will see a different shadow. The various shadows represent the phases of the moon, from a waxing gibbous, to a full moon, to a waning crescent!


Pizza Box Phonograph:

Make a working record player using little more than a pizza box, the littleBits dc motor, notebook paper, and a sewing pin.


Kissing Machine:

Build a cam for your dc motor to make this littleBits classic.


lil Breezy:

Windmills have been around for over 1000 years, converting wind into power. Make your own model with variable speed using a dimmer, a dc motor, and popsicle sticks.
