littleBits Global Makeathon Winners

On Saturday, September 14th, makerspaces from 17 cities participated in the littleBits Global Makeathon! The theme of the Makeathon was “bring your city to life,” which inspired an array of international creations, like the Perfect Shanghai Sandwich and Atlanta’s TeamBuilder Toy. We received over 50 project submissions competing for prizes, which included $1,000 worth of littleBits™ Bits modules.

On Saturday, September 21st, our Founder and CEO, Ayah Bdeir announced the winners at Maker Faire New York during her presentation Children are Teaching Adults how to Make Again.” Check out the winners below!

First Prize:

Second Prize:

London Plane by: Richard & Noah, Technology Will Save Us (TWSU), London

Third Prize:

Brooklyn Nets by: Ryan and Nicholas, New York, NY
