littleBits travels to Mahinda Rajapaksa Vidyalaya School

By admin

A group of University of Colombo students participating in an exhibition on IT and New Technology at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Vidyalaya School in Sri Lanka happily shared littleBits with the 6th-9th grade students. littleBits were used to teach some basic electronics to the small group in this rural school. The group organizer told us, “We gave the students a chance to play with littleBits. They were really happy and thanked us a lot for giving them the opportunity to explore and learn. We had to limit the time for each group to 15 minutes and that was not enough to satisfy these young kids. They were so attracted to the Kits, especially for the bright LEDs. They made different experiments which led them to making new inventions. When they understood the concepts behind the pulse and pressure sensor Bits, they ran to me so that they could explain – they were so excited!”
