1. The Art Of The Brick

“The museum exhibition is accessible because it engages the child in all of us while simultaneously illuminating sophisticated and complex concepts. Everyone can relate to the medium since it is a toy that many children have at home. But my goal with this exhibition when it first debuted in 2007 was to elevate this simple plaything to a place it has never been before.” – Nathan Sawaya. Our designers were among the first to attend the exhibit last week. We are in complete awe of what Nathan has created with the beloved bricks.

2. twinkind

Mini-Mes Made-To-Order. Twinkind is a German company that uses 3D scanning and color printing technology to create incredibly detailed replicas of people and pets. You can order one of your own, in a range of sizes, on their site.

3. One-Person Mobile Home

We love the incredibly efficient and simple design. Considering the size of some of our New York apartments, this seems spacious!

4. Say It With Bacon

A delicious campaign. We never thought of Oscar Meyer as fancy or gourmet — until now.

5. Destination NYC

Every borough is represented in MoMA’s Destination NYC store. From Neuva York prints to MakerBot, we absolutely love their selection of artisan goods.

6. Build a Better Mousetrap — Fast

The Wall Street Journal profiled one of our favorite places, TechShop! We recommend reading about this West Coast chain of shops and learning how you can use their resources to create a prototype of your own.

7. Seeing Yourself See

A beautiful behind-the-scenes video of James Turrell’s light installation that will debut at the Guggenheim this Friday, June 21st.

8. Ginko

The recent New York rainstorms have resulted in many umbrella casualties. Thankfully, the Italian based Ginko has come up with a solution: recyclable umbrellas. These umbrellas are available in a variety of fun colors and can withstand even the toughest of elements.

9. The Most Astounding Fact

“We are part of this universe; we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the universe is in us.”– Neil DeGrasse Tyson

10. 6 of the World’s Coolest Greenest Playgrounds

A beautiful lineup of fun and eco-friendly parks. We recommend visiting one in your city!
