Airship by Alex012008

“We have been thinking for several weeks about some kind of flying stuff made on LittleBits basis. After several attempts we finally managed to build a simple model of airship. It made from an air balloon with helium, two electric motors from nano-quadcopter and ‘remote control board‘ based on LittleBits slide dimmers & proto modules. The ‘control board‘ feeds and controls airship motors by wire (proto modules are used to connect wires and LittleBits circuit).”

Wow!  Let’s watch Alex’s airship fly! 🙂

#HackYourHabits Challenge Winners

Shoes, grooves, and screen time were no match for this challenge!  Hacking your habits is no easy task.  Which is why we are incredibly inspired by the thoughtful – and very cloud connected – approach you took to this challenge. Big congrats and many thanks to all who submitted inventions. We ~*LOVED*~ them all. The winners are:

#ChainReaction Contraptions

Tea Anyone? #ChainReaction by Edona Bejtullahu from Gjakova, Kosovo.

“This is a chain reaction invention that helps us to put the tea bag in the mug. We only need to start the first circuit, then the little car will hit the button bit and the latch bit will hold it state, the DC motor will be activated and will push the ball. The ball will hit the bigger ball who will activate the button bit and latch will hold it state and by wireless transmitter will send the signal to the wireless receiver who will activate the servo were we can put tea bags.”  Let’s watch!

RC Car Begins A #ChainReaction by Scofield Magnet School

It’s not too late for you to make an entry for this month’s challenge!  Invent a complex contraption that performs a super simple task.  Our amazing judges will choose three winners who will receive superhero status and up to $200 in Bits!

    1. Think about an easy task to perform – then brainstorm the most complicated way to accomplish it! Gather a bunch of bits and tools to get started. Don’t forget to build in at least three transitions.
    2. Make a video showing us how it works. We even have some PRO TIPS to help you make the best video EVER.
    3. Enter by uploading your creation to the Invent page using #ChainReaction by May 31st at midnight EST. Be sure to embed your video or include a link!

That’s all for now, Bitsters!  Keep inventing and sharing with us!  🙂
