The light sensor is similar to a dimmer. It measures how much light is shining on it and activates the Bits that follow it based on the amount of light. It has two modes: "light" and "dark". As of the environment gets brighter, the Bits that follow the sensor will gradually turn on. The light sensor also has a "dark mode" that allows it to work in reverse. As it gradually gets darker the Bits that follow will gradually turn on.
Use the small slider on the board to adjust how much light it takes to change the signal. Sliding right increases sensitivity, left decreases it. Older versions of this Bit have a small screw dial instead of the slider. Use the included purple screwdriver to turn this dial.
