Where are you based?
We are based in Matthews, NC.

How would you describe yourself in six words or less?
(Davy): Smart, creative, adventurous, persistent, patient, crafty.
(Ryan): Smart, coder, technician, persistent , fourth grader, inventor.

What was your littleBits “a-ha!” moment? The moment you were bitten by the littleBits bug.
Our parents got us the Gizmos and Gadgets kit for Christmas. We noticed all the endless possibilities that could be made, all of them were just waiting to be created and shared!

When starting a littleBits project, what does your design and video process look like?
( 1 ) The first stage is coming up with an idea. We brainstorm things we like, and try and combine them together, for example candy and Legos, BAM! a candy machine made of Legos.
( 2 ) The second stage is the constructing, like when we did the Candiserv we made a huge Lego frame. Davy takes the lead on this step since his strength is in structure design and construction thanks to years in FLL (First Lego League).

( 3 ) The third stage is the wiring. We take the bits and brainstorm how we can position the bits in the right places to make our creation (using bit to LEGO adapter plates). Ryan takes the lead on wiring.
( 4 ) The fourth stage is the video, we first come up with a script and write on a whiteboard. We adjust it over and over again until it is perfect, then you start filming. It took us twenty or so tries for filming our video the first time to adjust for pauses and gestures. It is okay if you have to keep on restarting, persevere!

How has littleBits impacted you creatively?
The proto module helps us be super creative because it allows us to integrate other electrical components with littleBits.

What do you plan on inventing next?
I’ll probably do a few more projects using my proto module next.
