littleBits joins STEM Summer in the City in NYC

Summer fun = inventing.

For the second year in a row, the New York City Department of Education, which runs the largest school district in the country, is bringing littleBits to its summer campers! STEM Summer in the City is a free learning program for 2nd-10th graders invent, innovate, create, design, and engage with STEM topics. The entire curriculum is designed around key elements of robotics, game design, coding, engineering, and inventing. And, students will get to make mega-awesome inventions and learn about STEM with Bits!

So, if you’re a New York City resident, your child can qualify for this free program. Want to know more? Check out these key details below:

  • Students are accepted into this program via a lottery
  • Program runs from July 5, 2017 to August 10, 2017
  • Monday through Thursday from 8:30am – 2:30pm
  • Breakfast and lunch are included
  • Metrocards are provided
  • Summer camps are located in the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Far Rockaway, and Staten Island
  • Applications close on April 28, 2017
